WATER | March 2015

Scott Rodwin creates contemporary abstract paintings that are often evocative of landscapes. This series investigates the theme of water from a wide variety of perspectives and includes piece inspired by oceans, waves, lakes, puddles, rivers and rain.

No other element is so diverse in it forms. It can be still, frenetic, random, playful, powerful or gentle, vibrantly colorful or incredibly subtle.

Here in the west, life has always been governed by our relationship to that scarce resource; for our farming, development, sustenance and recreation. We fish, raft, and camp in and around them. Water connects us back to life.
