This fall, Osmosis Gallery proudly presents Wildlife in Boulder County, an extraordinary exhibition by Ruth Soller. Known for her vibrant oil paintings of National Parks and western landscapes, Soller’s work captures the awe of nature through her signature use of brilliant hues and dramatic contrasts. For this special show, Soller shines a spotlight on Boulder County’s wildlife, showcasing ten new works created in collaboration with Wild Wings Art, which specializes in prints of her selected artworks.
Ruth Soller’s artistic journey began as a child attending summer art camps, where she developed her skills in various mediums like pen, ink, watercolor, and oils. Her passion for art continued to flourish through life’s many stages—from pursuing an MBA and raising a family to building her dream studio in Colorado. Travel adventures and plein air studies inspire much of her work, allowing her to translate nature’s magic into vivid, layered oil paintings on sienna-toned linen or canvas.
“I discovered that creating art brings healing power to my body, mind, and spirit,” Ruth shares in her artist statement. Her intention is to share these emotions and bring joy to others, whether through her landscapes of western vistas or her depictions of Boulder County wildlife. Ruth’s paintings have earned recognition in international competitions, exhibited in museums, and are held in private and corporate collections, including the Good Samaritan Cancer Center and the International Association of Fire Fighters in Washington, D.C.
The Wildlife in Boulder County series is not only a celebration of the natural beauty surrounding us but also a testament to Ruth’s dedication to her craft. These paintings invite viewers to explore the connection between art, nature, and the human spirit—a harmonious balance Ruth strives to convey in every piece.
This incredible collection will be on display at Osmosis Gallery through December 2024. Whether you’re a longtime admirer of Ruth Soller’s work or discovering her talent for the first time, Wildlife in Boulder County is an exhibition you won’t want to miss.
