Beth Lindsay

I love the bold and vibrant colors. I love chunky textures and graphic shapes. I love art with explosive movement as well as subtle lines. As a child, I dreamt of being a dancer; I create with that in mind. Striving to get colors and shapes to dance and move in a playful, pleasing, and sometimes surprising way, my pieces are joyously unrestrained. I always start with a charcoal, crayon, or graphite drawing and then apply many layers of paint, scratching, scraping, and wiping through to reveal sweet little tidbits. My goal is to create paintings that are courageous, flowing, joyful and invigorating.
